May 2008. This is a special trip. Our Echo has a health scare one month before leaving. Three weeks prior to leaving she had major surgery to have her spleen removed. By the time we leave for Montana, she's almost back to normal. Prior to arrival, we have a concrete slab poured for a 24'x36' workshop. AND...we now have electricity & running water!

The first wall of the new shop goes up. End of day 1.

Our friends' dogs...Mickey ...and Jasmine

Larry (the Task Master) Day 2. The four walls are up and covered.

Perfect weather. One of the views from the shop.

End of Day 2. The 'Crew'. Wayne, Larry & Don. Beginning of Day 3. Installing trusses.

A crane makes quick work of this job.

End of Day 3. Day 4. Finished the roof sheathing.

And trim. Day 5. The crew has left. Don (working much slower) gets tarpaper on roof.

A well deserved rest. Hanging around the cabin.

Ozzie & Echo stay warm near the fire. Our little kitchen (with running water!)

Shingling the roof. Getting close.

Happy & healthy Echo. Time for another nap.

The day before we leave. Finishing touches to keep out bad weather. June 9th. Weather tight. OK. Now it can rain.

June 10th. Did I say RAIN? We must be living right. Packing up to leave, before we get snowed in.
(Because that would be a bad thing?)
